Cycle Safety Day
On Tuesday 23rd May 2017, Kevin Kilcullen from Wheel Education Ltd, came in to visit the children and talk about the equipment and clothing needed to keep safe when cycling and scootering.
The children took part in workshops which highlighted the importance of wearing a helmet. They also discussed which clothing to wear and ways to make sure their bikes are safe to use. Year 5 and 6 children had a debate on reasons for and against using a helmet. The workshops were captured and what the children got up to is in the video below.
The weekly sessions, delivered by Wheel Education in school, focus on road safety and a number of children have taken part. We would like to say a big thank you to Kevin, the children have thoroughly enjoyed his visit.
