Sunday 21st March was World Down Syndrome Day

Sunday 21st March was World Down Syndrome Day.  Children in year 1 and Rainbow room were invited to wear odd socks into school on Monday. This was to share and celebrate the fact we are all different and unique.

Did you know that Down Syndrome is a disorder that occurs when there is a duplication of the twenty first chromosome and this why it is celebrated on the 21st of March. So, for Sunday and for every day, we would like to say – Happy World Down Syndrome Day!
