End of Year Letter
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we come to the end of another busy school year, I would like to take this opportunity to once again express my thanks for your continued support, kindness and sense of community.
Each year passes by so quickly - each one a little quicker than the last - but we have filled it with so much learning, new experiences and fun. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for the pleasure of spending time and experiencing these with your children.
This year alone, we saw many of our children perform on stage in the fantastic production of Oliver with a Twist, our first Lumiere, a massive community litter pick and car racing at Croft circuit. This is just a small window on all the events, activities and experiences that have filled our year. In this summer term alone, we hosted our annual colour run, attended athletics events, football competitions, netball competitions and School Games Days. Children have represented the school across the region in so many different ways and have been a credit to both you and us. Children have met challenges with a smile and risen to them.
We aim to give our children the knowledge and skills to go onto the next stage of their education with confidence and self-belief. Yesterday at our Year 6 leavers’ performance, I could not have been prouder of the children and how far they have come - each one of them shone.
The Summer Fayre was a great success raising £1970. This will be used to buy additional reading books. We would like to thank everyone who donated prizes and those who gave up their time to help. It was a great – if hot day - enjoyed by all.
As a new academic year starts again in September, we go again. In the meantime, I would like to wish you and your families a wonderful summer and look forward to seeing you back on Thursday 3rd of September 2026.
Best wishes
Mrs S Hirst
Principal
