STEM Week - Thursday
Today we welcomed back STEM Ambassadors from Glaxo Smith Kline who talked about careers with Year 5 & 6 then demonstrated their robotic arm and discussed how bacteria is researched. Year 6 also made their own blood today!
Year 4 looked at how many different species of plants were around the school grounds and plotted this on a bar chart.
Year 3 have swapped activities between the classes. One class had Alan Brennan back in who carried out a robotics activity with the children. The other class made their own solar ovens to toast marshmallows!
Year 2 have been rolling different types of tins down ramps and predicting what would happen when the height of the ramp changed or the weight of the tin changed.
Year 1 have carried out chromatography and printing activities again today, swapping the resources between the classes.
Hub 1 have had an exciting visit from a vet and witnessed some wow science activities with coke, mentoes and skittles.
