End of Year Letter

Dear Parents and Carers,
As we come to the end of another school year, I would like to take this opportunity to once again express my thanks for your continued support.
This year seems to have flown - each one seems a little quicker than the last - but we have filled it with so much learning, new experiences and fun. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for the pleasure of spending time and experiencing these with your children.
This year alone, we saw the nurture garden built, Luna, our school dog, joined us and hosted a visit from our MP Lola McAvoy and sent some children to parliament. This is just a small window on all the events, activities and experiences that have filled our year. In this summer term alone, we hosted our annual colour run, attended athletics events, football competitions and School Games Days. Children have challenged themselves inside and out of the classroom and they have achieved in so many ways.
We aim to give our children the knowledge and skills to go onto the next stage of their education with confidence and self-belief. Yesterday at our Year 6 leavers’ performance, I could not have been prouder of the children and how far they have come - each one of them shone.
The Summer Fayre was a great success raising £2182.10 (some costs to be deducted). We would like to thank everyone who donated prizes and those who gave up their time to help. The staff and children also do an amazing job with some fantastic ideas.
As a new academic year starts again in September, we go again. In the meantime, I would like to wish you and your families a wonderful summer and look forward to seeing you back on Tuesday 2nd of September.
Best wishes
Mrs S Hirst
Principal
