Re-Opening

Dear Parents and Carers,

Following the Government’s announcement yesterday that they have met the tests that they set before schools could reopen we will be opening for children from next week. We are so happy to welcome children back as we have missed them and they are what makes a school. This is not a decision we have taken lightly and it is with the welfare of both staff and children very much at the front of our minds.

We will be adhering to the timetable below for the staggered return and you will be individually notified of the arrangements for pick up and drop off for each of the returning year groups(N, R, Y1 and Y6) along with accompanying  information leaflets so that you know what procedures we will be following. There will also be staff and signage on hand to ensure that the procedures we have put in place are easily followed.

Can I also say at this time that this couldn’t have happened without the staff who have put the children and their wellbeing front and centre. They have all worked tirelessly both in school and out to ensure that we are ready for opening whilst supporting children who remain at home. I know that this will continue over the coming few months and we wouldn’t be in the position we are, ready to welcome children back if it wasn’t for their hard work and dedication.

As yet we do not know how and when other year groups will return as we await further guidance on this. We will of course keep you informed.

Many thanks for all your support,

Mrs Hirst
