Children's Mental Health Week

The 1st – 7th February is Children’s Mental Health Week. A really important week to celebrate, especially during these times, I’m sure you will agree.

The Children’s Mental Health organisation, Place2Be has teamed up with BAFTA Kids and Oak National Academy to create a free assembly on the theme of “Express Yourself”. Your child’s class teacher may have already shared this however you can access it via the following link. https://www.childrensmentalhealthweek.org.uk/news/watch-our-children-s-mental-health-week-assembly-with-bafta-kids-and-oak-national-academy/

You might like to talk to your child about the way you like to express yourself and perhaps show them an example. This will give them an idea as to what they like to do to express themselves. Are they a keen baker? An artist? A dancer? You might like to spend a little time with your child allowing them to talk and share their favourite way to express themselves or perhaps they would like to try something new.

There are also some great resources on the Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) website, which you can access via the following link. https://www.elsa-support.co.uk/express-yourself-february-calendar/

As always, we would love to see what you get up to, so please do share with us.

Have a great week!
